All clients sign a contract with me, in which the process, services, and expectations are explained. I will keep all of your information, including your written content, confidential. To make your initial inquiry, head to the commissions page.
- If you're a student, especially a grad student, you're eligible for a 20% student discount. Make note of this in your initial inquiry and we'll discuss how to get started.
- Flexible payment options are available. While this is how I pay the bills, I'm also aware that editing can be expensive, and not everyone is in a position to pay in full. At minimum, I require 30% up front (if this is absolutely impossible for you, talk to me; I'm happy to accommodate you if I can), and we'll settle on instalments for the remainder of the payments.
- I do my best to respond to inquiries quickly and uphold all turnaround estimates; however, my health is unfortunately unstable, and when I am particularly unwell, that requires me to slow down and limit the amount of work I do. I therefore try to plan ahead as much as possible: if you have deadlines of any sort, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can account for them and budget time accordingly.

- Poetry: $0.07/word

Copy & Line Editing Price Guidelines*
Based on the information in your initial inquiry, from word count to the level of editing you're looking for, I'll send you a quote on price and turnaround time. I do offer discounts if you are interested in multiple items (e.g. developmental editing followed by copy editing; or copy editing with consultation).
Rush Fees: 20% total fee
Overnight: 35% total fee (only available to manuscripts under 6,000 words)
Availability is contingent on my schedule and the length of your manuscript; if you are looking for expedited work, please make note of that in your initial inquiry.
*While I am on Etsy, I require payment in full upfront before any work begins, unless we have already discussed a payment plan.
Developmental & Content Editing
I am only accepting a limited number of new clients for developmental editing commissions. Contact me for availability.
Before I provide a quote, I request a general summary of the work: word count (current and/or projected), status (in progress, first draft, etc.), a one-sentence overview of your subject matter, and any other information you consider relevant; the amount of time and work required varies greatly from piece to piece. The first chapter of your manuscript is welcome but not required.
You will receive a quote on price and turnaround within 48 hours of your initial inquiry. If you have not heard back from me within that time, please let me know!
